Installation von Jean Peut-être
Part of Urban Art Week festival
6. September bis 22. September 2019

Opening on 6 September in the presence of the artists
For the past few years, Jean Peut-être has been pasting his way around the world, in the background of cities – on their walls, but also "underground". From Berlin to Buenos Aires via Paris, Barcelona, Brighton, London and many more, he travels and meets more and more fellow pasters/artists who also make so-called paste-up art. But Jean Peut-être doesn't just stick things up head-on: he builds huge compositions with his collages, and for that he needs raw material, which he partly prepares himself with screen printing and letterpress, or collects – posters, lottery slips, antique paper, archive plans and so on. He and others do a round together; from these spontaneous collaborations, wild new compositions emerge, and Jean Peut-être is very often given a few folded sheets: stencils, drawings, paintings, photos. Now Jean Peut-être comes back to Berlin with his suitcase and turns our gallery into a backyard full of freshly pasted paper.
