Katjastroph (that's the artist's name) comes all the way from Nantes (France) to present her latest screen prints. She creates her artwork from a mix of drawing, ink and scratching into plastic film.
We discovered her in Geneva at the "Monstre" festival, where she had painted a wall with two monkeys.
Her characters are often surrounded by rich backgrounds, with animals looking on as if disturbed by this intruder.
Katjastroph draws her inspiration both from the imagery of folk art and from her own imagination.
Alongside her latest posters (mostly from this year), she shows a new series of black-and-white posters: seven drawings of women inspired by art history, in a setting full of imaginary animal-humans.
